Desi Apple a anuntat ca modelul alb al iPhone 4 ar putea fi lansat abia in primavara anului 2010, ziarul Seattle Times a publicat un articol in care se specifica faptul ca modelul alb ar putea fi disponibil incepand cu luna februarie 2011. Povestea din ziar se bazeaza pe o discutie avuta de o persoana cu un om de afaceri din Italia care se presupune ca ar testa modelul alb al iPhone 4 inaintea lansarii programate in Italia pentru luna februarie. Italianul sustine ca lucreaza pentru o companie care testeaza aceste terminale pentru Apple si ca motivul pentru care modelul alb nu a fost lansat inca se datoreaza faptului ca, carcasa incepe sa se decoloreze dupa cateva saptamani de utilizare, marginile devenind galbui.
The Italian said he was testing the device for Apple and it will go on sale in Europe in February. That’s a bit earlier than the last release date — the spring 2011 target that Apple provided in October.
