Imaginea de mai sus a fost publicata de mine cand au aparut pe internet primele zvonuri legate de implementarea unui slot SD in viitoarea generatie a tabletei iPad. La acel moment aproape toata lumea era convinsa ca tableta va avea un slot SD si vorbea despre beneficiile implementarii unui asemenea slot in iPad. Ei bine intre timp lucrurile s-au schimbat si cei de la AppleInsider au obtinut cateva informatii de la surse competente ce sustin ca acel locas ar putea fi defapt locasul pentru introducerea cartelei SIM. Stim deja ca iPad 3G are asa ceva, este posibil sa vedem o versiune CDMA a iPad si se presupune ca Apple ar fi repozitionat locasul pentru cartela SIM dupa cateva modificari ale structurii interne a tabletei.
In a mockup analysis of all the openings and recesses in those cases, it was speculated that that left-side opening could represent the much-rumored SD Card slot. However, a person that AppleInsider trusts on matters such as these has since rebutted that notion, stating instead that the break in the next-gen iPad enclosure at that location is actually a relocation of the tablet’s SIM card slot.
That may explain why some of the other next-gen iPad casings making the rounds don’t sport the same opening, as users of 3G iPads aren’t likely to need ready access to the SIM slot on a daily basis. And like Gruber’s sources on the subject, the same person referenced above gave no indication that there’s an SD Card slot elsewhere on the device.

Pana acum producatorii de accesorii din China care “sustin” ca au schite ale viitoarei generatii ale tabletei iPad, au facut carcase oarecum diferite pentru aceasta tableta deci e greu de facut presupuneri macar 50% corecte pe baza lor.
