In cursul acestei seri compania Rovio Mobile a lansat un nou update pentru aplicatia Angry Birds Rio, joc facut special pentru lansarea filmului de animatie Rio. Update-ul jocului aduce inca 15 nivele noi pentru utilizatori dar si mai multe achievment-uri plus boss fight-uri. In aceste nivele noi cei de la Rovio descriu calatoria pasarilor de-a lungul Braziliei si descoperirea animalelor captive in aeroport totul terminandu-se cu o urmarire ce are loc in cadrul aeroportului in care sunt descoperite animalele.
