Stiti cu totii ca Steve Jobs a afirmat in repetate randuri ca Android OS este o copie fidela a iOS, lucru care in aparenta ar fi adevarat daca ne luam dupa modul in care arata sistemul de operare. Intreaga teorie se bazeaza pe faptul ca “parintele” Android, Andy Rubin, a lucrat la Apple in anii ’90, cand inginerii companei din Cupertino dezvoltau primele tehnologii ale iOS/iPhone-ului. Steve Jobs spune ca Andy Rubin a furat ideile celor de la Apple si a lansat Android-ul cumparat de Google in anul 2005 insa Eric Schmidt vine acum si spune ca dezvoltarea Android-ului a inceput inaintea iPhone-ului.
I decided not to comment on comments that are written in the book after his death. I don’t think it’s right…Most people would agree that Google is a great innovator, and I would also point out that the Android efforts started before the iPhone efforts. And that’s all I have to say.
Trebuie remarcata de la bun inceput nuantarea celor doua produse de care vorbeste Schmidt: Android si iPhone. Apple nu a spus la ce a inceput sa lucreze intai, la iPhone sau la iOS insa cred ca tehnologiile pentru iOS au fost facute inaintea iPhone-ului. Chiar si asa, se pare ca Android-ul a fost intai dezvoltat avand in gand telefoanele cu butoane fizice insa dupa lansarea iPhone-ului a fost regandit pentru a functiona pe ecrane touchscreen. Steve Jobs a declarat in biografia sa ca va cheltui ultimul ban al Apple pentru a scoate Android-ul de pe piata si deocamdata Apple a avut cateva tentative reusite de a face acest lucru dar cu produse ce ruleaza Android OS.
Our lawsuit is saying, “Google, you fucking ripped off the iPhone, wholesale ripped us off.” Grand theft. I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong. I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go to thermonuclear war on this. They are scared to death, because they know they are guilty. Outside of Search, Google’s products—Android, Google Docs—are shit.
