As of September 29, 2012, the Company had approximately 72,800 full-time equivalent employees and an additional 3,300 full-time equivalent temporary employees and contractors. Approximately 42,400 of the total full-time equivalent employees worked in the Company’s Retail segment.
Tot in 2012 Apple a deschis 33 de magazine, numarul acestora ajungand la 390 in intreaga lume, aceasta expansiune fiind un bun motiv in baza caruia au fost angajate atat de multe persoane. Fiecare magazin fizic al Apple a generat incasari de 51.5 milioane de dolari in anul 2012, cifra crescand cu 8.2 milioane fata de cea inregistrata in anul 2011. Cresterea in incasari este data si de o crestere a numarului de angajati ai fiecarui magazin, in medie Apple avand 108 angajati in fiecare magazin, fata de 100 cati avea anul trecut.
The Company opened 33 new retail stores during 2012, 28 of which were outside the U.S., ending the year with 390 stores open compared to 357 stores at the end of 2011. As of September 29, 2012, the Company had a total of 250 U.S. retail stores and 140 international retail stores. With an average of 365 stores and 326 stores during 2012 and 2011, respectively, average revenue per store increased 19% to $51.5 million in 2012 compared to $43.3 million in 2011.
In 2013 Apple intentioneaza sa deschida 30 – 35 de magazine noi si daca avem noroc s-ar putea sa aflam ca unul ar putea fi deschis chiar in Bucuresti. Mergand mai departe va spun ca Apple a investit 1 miliard de dolari in cercetare in anul fiscal 2012, cifra fiind cu 39% mai mare decat cea investita anul trecut, semn ca Apple incearca sa vina cu inovatii pe piata, insa ramane de vazut daca va si reusi sa le dezvolte in timp util.
R&D expense increased $952 million or 39% in 2012 compared to 2011 and $647 million or 36% in 2011 compared to 2010. The growth in R&D expense was driven by an increase in headcount and related expenses to support expanded R&D activities. Although total R&D expense increased 39% and 36% in 2012 and 2011, respectively, it remained fairly consistent as a percentage of net sales.
In concluzie, Apple a crescut frumos fata de anul fiscal anterior si daca va continua asa, atunci anul viitor vom vedea alte cresteri substantiale.
