In San Jose, California, Apple are deschis un proces in care acuza Samsung de incalcarea unor brevete de inventie, iar recent pretentiile sale au fost completate prin includearea Android 4.1 Jelly Bean si a Galaxy Note 10.1. Deocamdata jurnalistii care au aflat despre existenta documentelor nu au explicat si motivele in baza carora Apple cere includerea acestor doua noi componente in proces, insa probabil vorbim despre incalcarea acelorasi brevete de inventie care au fost invocate si in trecut.
Apple Inc. told a judge that Samsung Electronics Co. (005930)’s Galaxy Note 10.1 device infringes its patents, and sought to add the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system to an existing lawsuit against Samsung in California. Apple made the arguments yesterday to U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul S. Grewal in federal court in San Jose. Apple’s bid to expand the lawsuit follows Samsung’s Oct. 1 move to add patent- infringement claims against the iPhone 5 in the same case. Apple won a $1.05 billion jury verdict against Samsung on Aug. 24 in a separate patent case in the same court.
Samsung a facut apel impotriva acelei decizii, suma respectiva ar putea sa scada ori sa creasca, deci in final ramane sa vedem cand isi va primi Apple banii si ce suma urmeaza sa primeasca. In lipsa unei decizii finale in acel proces, Apple s-a folosit de hotararea initiala pentru a obtine alte victorii insa nu a avut in fiecare caz succes.
