BlackBerry Messenger(BBM) va fi lansat in urmatoarele luni pe platforma iOS

  In cadrul unei conferinte de presa ce a avut loc in cursul zilei de astazi, compania canadiana BlackBerry a anuntat ca serviciul BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) va fi lansat pe platforma iOS pana la sfarsitul acestei veri. Sistemul va fi disponibil pe iDevice-urile care ruleaza iOS 6 sau Android 4.0 si va oferi utilizatorilor doar posibilitatea de a efectua conversatii text in cadrul grupurilor, insa in viitor optiunile de a efectua apeluri VoIP, de a face screenshare, etc, vor fi disponibile prin intermediul unor update-uri.

“”It’s time to bring BBM to a greater audience,” CEO Thorsten Heins said in announcing the expansion, “no matter what mobile device they carry.” Though it’s long been considered one of BlackBerry’s strongest exclusive offerings, Heins said that his company aims to deliver a “fully featured” BBM experience on rival smartphone operating systems. “We’re starting with messaging and groups, but we’ll bring voice, screen share, and of course, channels later on,” he said. “Why are we doing this now? It’s a statement of confidence,” Heins went on. He said that BlackBerry 10’s prospects are “so strong that we are confident that BBM can become an independent messaging solution.”

  Pana acum platforma BBM a fost disponibila exclusiv pe terminalele BlackBerry, insa canadienii intentioneaza sa extinda sistemul si la alte platforme, probabil in ideea de a atrage mai multi consumatori ai companiilor rivale. iOS-ul are propriile sisteme de mesagerie text/video prin iMessage si FaceTime, in App Store exista o suita intreaga de aplicatii care ofera functionalitate asemanatoare, insa integrarea BBM va oferi posesorilor de terminale BlackBerry o metoda mult mai simpla de a interactiona cu posesorii de iPhone-uri sau terminale Android.
