Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 si 10.1 au fost anuntate oficial astazi de catre compania Samsung, iar reprezentantii Samsung au confirmat faptul ca vor utiliza procesoare Intel in tabletele de top produse de catre ei. Fara ca Samsung sa specifice exact ca este vorba despre Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, cei de la Reuters sustin ca versiunea cu ecran de 10.1 a tabletelor va rula Android OS in baza unui procesor dual-core de 1.6 GHz dezvoltat de catre compania Intel.
Samsung Electronics Co said on Monday it will use Intel Corp processors to power a new version of one of its top-tier Android tablets, a major victory for the U.S. chipmaker, which is struggling to find its footing in the mobile market. Samsung has previously used chips designed with energy-efficient technology from the UK’s ARM Holdings for its best-selling mobile devices. The South Korean firm unveiled two new tablets on Monday including an 8-inch tablet, and the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, which uses Intel chips.
Intel incearca de mai bine de un an de zile sa convinga producatorii de terminale mobile sa ii utilizeze procesoarele, iar Samsung este primul producator important care o face. Intel dezvolta procesoare cu performante bune si care administreaza energia eficient, iar daca Samsung a avut curajul sa le utilizeze, altii o vor face in curand. Nu se stie deocamdata ce performante vor avea tabletele, insa este de asteptat ca ele sa fie mai puternice decat iPad-urile, cel putin pe partea de procesare.
