Daca va gandeati ca toate functiile iOS 7 vor fi disponibile pe toate iDevice-urile compatibile, va recomand sa va stapaniti entuziasmul deoarece Apple are grija sa ofere doar atat “cat trebuie” pentru terminalele aflate acum in vanzare. La o scurta privire pe website-ul Apple, in pagina dedicata iOS 7, aflam rapid ca inregistrarea de poze panoramice nu poate fi facuta folosind tablete iPad sau terminalul iPhone 4, ca implementarea de filtre direct din aplicatia Camera va fi disponibila doar pe iPhone 5 si iPod Touch 5G, ca sistemul AirDrop va fi accesibil doar pe iPhone 5, iPad Mini, iPod Touch 5G si iPad 4, iar Siri cu HD Voice va functiona doar pe iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5G, iPad Mini si iPad 4.
- Shooting panorama photographs will only be supported on the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPod touch 5G
- Adding filters to photographs right from the Camera application will only be supported on the iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5G (you can add filters to photographs from the Photos application on any iOS 7 device)
- AirDrop will only be supported by the iPhone 5, iPod touch 5G, iPad Mini, and iPad (4th generation)
- Siri with HD voice can only be used on the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch 5G, iPad Mini, and iPad with retina display
Era de asteptat ca Apple sa limiteze functionalitatea iPhone 4 si a iPhone 4S, tabletele lansate inainte de iPad 4 si iPad Mini nefiind luate in calcul pentru unele functii. Desigur ca iPhone 5S, iPad 5 si iPad Mini 2 vor rula toate functiile, insa pentru restul ramane Cydia. In ciuda implementarii acestor limitari, ele nu sunt indeajuns de importante pentru a motiva utilizatorii sa cumpere cel mai recent iDevice lansat pe piata.
