In conformitate cu tot ceea ce s-a zvonit pana in prezent, o publicatie taiwaneza sustine ca Apple urmeaza sa lanseze in toamna iPad 5 cu un design complet modificat, cu autonomie mai buna si o tableta iPad Mini 2, care ar putea veni fara Retina Display. Noul design al iPad 5 ar urma sa reduca marginile negre ale ecranului pentru a “creste” artificial spatiul de vizualizare a informatiilor, insa separat de el compania Apple a decis sa renunte la unul dintre LED-urile care ilumineaza ecranul, aceasta schimbare urmand a imbuntati autonomia de 10 ore pe care o ofera tableta.
