In Q2 2014 compania Apple a vandut 35.1 milioane de smartphone-uri, cu 3.9 milioane mai multe decat in aceeasi perioada a anului trecut, inregistrand o crestere de 12.4% in vanzari. Din pacate cresterea in vanzari inregistrata de care Apple a fost mai mica decat cea medie a pietei, iar acest lucru a generat o scadere a cotei sale de piata detinuta pe piata globala a smartphone-urilor, iar in imaginea de mai sus puteti vedea totul.
Despite a challenging quarter for Samsung, and to a lesser extent Apple, the strong market demand boosted results for most smartphone vendors. Emerging markets supported by local vendors are continuing to act as the main catalyst for smartphone growth. By far the most impressive was Huawei, nearly doubling its shipments from a year ago, followed by another strong performance from Lenovo.

intr-un an de zile in ciuda cresterii vanzarilor, scaderea fiind mult mai mica decat cea de 6.9% inregistrata de catre Samsung. Vanzarile celor de la Samsung au scazut cu 3 milioane de unitati fata de aceeasi perioada a anului trecut, fiind singurul producator important care a vandut mai putine smartphone-uri, Huawei, Lenovo si LG inregistrand cresteri sanatoase.Practic asistam la o cadere a companiei Samsung intr-un trimestru in care a lansat si Samsung Galaxy S5, dar si la o crestere a producatorilor de smartphone-uri ieftine, Apple avand nevoie de iPhone-uri la preturi mult mai competitive.
