Tehnologia fotovoltaica nu este tocmai o tehnologie noua si nestiuta de nimeni, a fost conceputa in anii 80, insa compania israeliana 3G Solar a prezentat un nou prototip de celule solare. Aceste celule solare sunt semi-transparente, si pot fi imprimate atat pe plastic cat si pe sticla, si pot lua aproape orice forma.
Ce e nou acum e faptul ca cercetatorii israelieni au reusit sa rezolve cu succes un numar foarte mare de probleme si sa creasca randamentul celulelor pana in punctul in care acestea pot fi si comercializate!
Celulele respective folosesc o cerneala speciala ce este prinsa intre doua straturi de sticla sau de plastic. Cerneala este sensibila la lumina si creaza un curent electric cand este expusa la soare.

Ce face interesant totul de fapt este faptul ca sunt flexibile si semi-transparente, iar acest lucru deschide o plaja imensa de utilizari, acestea putand fi incorporate direct in smartphone-uri, laptop-uri si alte dispozitive cu baterii, sa le încarce pe acestea de la orice sursa de lumina, chiar si de la becurile obisnuite.
Compania 3G Solar a anuntat ca aceste dispozitive ar putea elimina bateriile din dispozitivele noastre, dar eu cred ca afirmatie e greu de sustinut cu argumente, in practica.
