Presedintele Apple, Tim Cook, a fost prezent astazi in cadrul emisiunii Good Morning America pentru a justifica preturile mari ale iPhone XS si iPhone XS Max, desi cel pentru primul nu e o surpriza. Tim Cook a justificat pretul mare al iPhone prin faptul ca e greu sa faci un smartphone bun care sa coste putin, si pentru ca exista multe tehnologii integrate.
iPhone XS, conform lui Tim Cook, inlocuieste un MP3 player, o camera digitala, si multe alte produse electronice, iar integrarea acestor tehnologii nu e chiar atat de ieftina. Desigur ca aceleasi motive le pot da si ceilalti producatori de telefoane Android care isi vand produsele la preturi mult mai mici, asa ca explicatia nu e chiar atat de credibila, din pacate.

Tim Cook spune si ca majoritatea oamenilor isi cumpara telefoanele fie in rate, fie cu abonamente, si subventie de la operatori, asa ca iPhone XS nu e la fel de “scump” pentru cei care aleg asta. Trebuie sa recunoastem faptul ca aceasta afirmatie e adevarata, oamenii alegand sa cumpere telefoanele cu rate lunare pentru a nu plati o suma mare o singura data pentru ca e mult mai simplu.
“Well we want to make an iPhone for everyone, that’s always been our objective and we’ve got several iPhones in the line and they go down to materially lower. But if you look at this phone, it’s the most advanced iPhone we’ve ever done. The way most people pay for these…they do a deal with a carrier and they pay so much per month, so if you look at even the phone that’s priced over $1,000, most people pay $30 a month for it, so that’s about $1 a day. And so if you look at it, the phone has replaced your digital camera…it’s replaced your video camera, it’s replaced your music player, it’s replaced all of these different devices. And so arguably the product is really important and we found people want to have the most innovative product available, and…it’s not cheap to do that.”
iPhone XS si iPhone XS Max sunt telefoane scumpe, insa in afara Romaniei exista oferte foarte bune pentru telefoane cu abonamente, iar lumea profita de ele. In tara noastra lucrurile nu stau chiar asa, ofertele la operatori fiind, de obicei, destul de proaste, asa ca lumea alege fie ratele lunare, fie pretul intreg, iar asta cam inhiba dorinta de achizitie.
