Steve Wozniak, co-fondatorul companiei Apple, a vorbit intr-un interviu recent despre ceea ce ar trebui Apple sa faca in legatura cu terminalele iPhone si cu atitudinea pe care o are in ultimii ani. El cere de la Apple iPhone-uri cu ecrane mai mici pentru a acoperi anumite segmente ale pietei, insa si iPhone-uri cu ecrane mai mari si mai late care in opinia sa ar oferi utilizatorilor o experienta de utilizare mai placuta. El practic doreste ca Apple sa preia strategia de business a celor de la Samsung, de exemplu, si sa faca un iPhone pentru fiecare om de pe pamant, iar in acest proces sa renunte la aroganta si la ideea ca un smartphone trebuie sa poata fi utilizat cu o singura mana.
Part of me wishes that Apple had not been so kind of arrogant and feeling we’re the only one with the right clue. I wish they had made a small and a large version of the iPhone; that would have been great for me. Keep the aspect ratio the same, horizontal and vertical the same, but just grow it in the other way. I think Apple tricked itself and said ‘oh you could reach everything with one thumb’ and I don’t see anybody having any trouble using the larger screens. Apple said that as a defensive move because when the other phones came out they all had larger screens. Apple is now trying to run with that defence, saying ‘we are right’ and really there’s a mix of people. Not all people want the same thing and a lot of people really like the big screens.
Wozniak are in felul sau dreptate, poate ca iPhone-ul trebuia sa fie putin mai lat, insa probabil aceasta gandire l-a indepartat de Apple. Compania din Cupertino nu vrea sa fie ca restul lumii, ei vor sa isi stabileasca singuri trendurile, vor sa-i invete pe oameni ceea ce este bun pentru ei si deocamdata au gresit de putine ori, iar iPhone 5 este foarte apreciat de lumea intreaga, chiar daca nu este mai lat si este usor de utilizat. Cred ca Apple ar putea sa scape de aroganta in anumite privinte, insa daca ar face acest lucru nu ar mai fi compania Apple pe care o stim cu totii si o parte din famercul sau dispare.
