Daca v-ati intrebat vreodata de ce cursorul unui mouse este indreptat spre partea stanga, ei bine iata ca astazi veti primi o explicatie, daca nu o stiati deja. Ideea de a afisa cursorul unui mouse intr-o pozitie inclinata a luat nastere cu peste trei decenii in urma in centrul de dezvoltare al celor de la Xerox, compania de la care Steve Jobs a furat mouse-ul. Pentru ca atunci monitoarele aveau rezolutie foarte slaba, cursorul unui mouse nu putea fi vizualizat cu usurinta, asa ca s-a luat decizia inclinarii sale, spre partea stanga.
When the graphical user interface was later developed by Xerox, however, the team found that the vertical pointer was almost impossible to see due to the low resolution displays in use at the time. Rather than make the pointer larger, the decision was made to turn it 45 degrees, making it easy to see. Despite the high resolution displays we have today, the concept has managed to stick for 33 years.
In Mac OS mouse-ul a venit direct inclinat multumita ideilor celor de la Xerox, iar timp de 33 de ani felul in care este el afisat pentru utilizatori nu s-a schimbat, desi Microsoft ofera optiunea de a ii schimba directia de inclinare.
