Compania sustine ca peste 25 de milioane de utilizatori au instalat noul iOS 5 pe propriile terminale si peste 20 de milioane de utilizatori s-au inregistrat la iCloud. Anul trecut Apple a vandut 1.7 milioane de terminale iPhone 4 in weekend-ul lansarii insa anul acesta cifrele s-au dublat si compania din Cupertino a vandut nu mai putin de 4 milioane de terminale iPhone 4S desi initial foarte putina lume isi dorea noul dispozitiv.
Pana in prezent Apple a vandut 250 de milioane de iDevice-uri si daca toate ar fi active, 10% dintre ele ar avea iOS 5 instalat deja. Numarul celor care utilizeaza iCloud este cu doar 5 milioane mai mic insa probabil in viitor cifrele se vor egala. Avand in vedere ca in doar o saptamana Apple a vandut 4 milioane de terminale iPhone 4S, in urmatoarele luni compania ar putea vinde cateva zeci de milioane de astfel de dispozitive si si-ar putea pastra titlul de cel mai mare producator de smartphone-uri la nivel global.
